Updated 27 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how Pohjolan Palvelut Oy processes your personal data on our website www.popa.fi.

Data controller

Pohjolan Palvelut Oy Limingankuja 4, 90400 Oulu, Finland oulu@popa.fi

Quote requests

When you send a quote request, we process what you enter in the form: company name, contact person, email address, phone number, order details and your answers to the page's questions. We use this to answer your request, prepare a quote and handle the order. The legal basis is your request for a quote before a possible contract. Giving the data is voluntary, but without contact details we cannot answer your request. We keep quote requests for as long as the quote and any customer relationship that follows require.

Visitor statistics and cookies

We use Google Analytics for visitor statistics only if you accept it in the cookie notice. The legal basis is your consent. Google Analytics stores the cookies _ga and _ga_F907VCL9KW in your browser for up to two years. We keep the statistics for up to 14 months and do not use them for advertising. You can withdraw your consent at any time from the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page.

Using the site

When you open the site, the server processes your device's IP address and browser details to show the pages and keep the site secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running, and the data is deleted after a short time.

Content from other services

The Facebook and Instagram feeds on our About page load from Meta when you open the page. We and Meta are joint controllers for collecting this data and passing it to Meta. Meta's own processing is described in its privacy policy. The magazine on our About page loads from Taiqa's service. Videos load from YouTube only when you press play.

Recipients and transfers

Providers of hosting, email delivery and visitor statistics process the data on our behalf. We do not sell your data. Some of these providers operate in the United States, so data may be transferred outside the EU and the EEA. These transfers are based on the Data Privacy Framework between the EU and the United States or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we process about you and to ask us to correct or delete it. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format and withdraw your consent. We do not make automated decisions based on your data. Send your request to oulu@popa.fi. If you think we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).
